Join us for 5 days of cooking around the world. Our small class sizes allow each child to develop lots of new skills whilst getting to know the other students in the kitchen. These classes are suitable for 9 - 15 year olds and the food made in the class will be served for their lunch - 10am - 2pm.

About the week

These classes will focus on kids building confidence and creativity whilst having a great time. The participants will learn to make an array of dishes using seasonal, local produce.

USA - Monday 1st August

Using both East Lothian reared beef and free range chickens, learn how to make the ultimate American style feast. The class will also include a healthier twist on classic sides such as homemade mayonnaise, bbq sauce, potato wedges and a delicious coleslaw.

China - Tuesday 2nd August

Using as much local and seasonal produce as possible, learn how to make a delicious Chinese fakeaway, without all the additives and preservatives. In this class the students will be taught how to make lemon chicken, vegetable spring rolls, egg fried rice and crispy seaweed.

Italy -Thursday 4th August

In this class learn how to make a traditional pizza dough, garlic and rosemary focaccia bread and a rich tomato and herb sauce. Your kids will have fun rolling out pizza and choosing from an array of delicious toppings.

France - Friday 5th August

In this class the students will be challenged with difficult culinary techniques, including making choux and savoury shortcrust pastry. With the choux pastry the students will make cream filled chocolate eclairs and the shortcrust pastry will be the base of a french onion, bacon and leek tart.

India -  Saturday 6th August

Build confidence with spices and make all the family favourite Indian side dishes. The students will learn how to make a chicken or vegetarian curry along with naan bread, jasmine rice and onion bhajis.

We will send you a detailed email a week before the class to ensure you know exactly what to bring and expect. Please let us know if your children have any dietary requirements in advance.
