Welcome to our 6-hour Intro to Bread Making class, where you'll explore the art of baking and enjoy a delightful hands-on experience!

This session is perfect for those looking to learn the basics of bread making while having fun in a relaxed setting.

Here's what to expect:

Learning Bread-Making Techniques: Guided by our experienced instructors, you'll dive into the fundamentals of bread making, from mixing and kneading to proofing and baking. During this class, you'll learn to create a variety of breads, including focaccia, white sourdough and pitta breads. As you craft these breads, you'll discover key techniques and tips to achieve the perfect crust and crumb.

Enjoy a Delicious Lunch: After baking, you'll enjoy a communal lunch featuring your freshly made breads, paired with charcuterie, salads, and cheeses prepared by our cookery school team. It's a wonderful opportunity to taste your creations and relax with fellow participants.

  • Fun On-Site Bar: During your cooking experience, feel free to visit our on-site bar, where you can order any drink of your choice. Whether you prefer a      glass of wine, a cocktail, or a refreshing mocktail, our bar offers a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to complement your seafood journey.
  • Interactive and Social Atmosphere: Enjoy a relaxed and engaging environment where you can interact with fellow guests, share stories, and enjoy the cooking process. Our instructors foster a friendly atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to participate and have fun.
  • Sit down and enjoy your meal: After preparing your dishes, gather around the dining table as a group to savour the meal you have created. It is a perfect opportunity to relax, chat with fellow participants, ask questions, and fully enjoy the experience in a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
  • Location and Facilities: The Yarrow Cookery School is located in a stunning 400-year-old steading, just a short walk from Longniddry train station. The school offers a free car park and EV chargers on-site, making it convenient for attendees. We provide all the equipment, ingredients, and aprons needed for the class.

Disabled access:There is full disabled access and a wheelchair friendly cookery station, please let us know when booking if you require this for your experience.

Allergies: Due to the nature of the cookery school and the rotation of a wide range of cuisines we cannot accommodate any allergies. We can accommodate intolerance and dislikes - please let us know upon booking.
