Located on East Lothian’s coastline and nestled within the beautifully restored 200 year old Londniddry Steading, we offer free on-site parking, EV charging, and coach access, making us an ideal and easy stop on any Scottish travel itinerary. Please note the onsite Steading accommodation is coming soon.

Scottish Cocktails and Canapés
Duration: 2 hours
Begin with a Scottish cocktail on arrival before getting stuck into a fun, hands on cookery session. You will create two classic Scottish bites from a choice of haggis bon bons with whisky sauce, crab crostini or mini venison Yorkshire puddings, finishing with time to enjoy what you have made.

Hebridean Feasts
Duration: 4 hours
A relaxed and immersive Hebridean Feast inspired by Scotland’s islands. Guests make traditional Scottish bread and bannock with kelp butter, cook monkfish wrapped in venison pancetta, then finish with an oat crowdie cheesecake prepared by us, enjoyed together around the table.

East Lothian Venison Wellington
Duration: 4 hours
A true showstopping celebration dish. Guests prepare Venison Wellington using sustainably sourced local roe deer, served with seasonal vegetables, before finishing with a light raspberry soufflé prepared during the session and enjoyed together around the table.

East Lothian Field to Fork
Duration: 4 hours
A true celebration of East Lothian produce. Guests prepare herb crusted rack of lamb with a selection of seasonal local vegetables and a rich red wine jus, before finishing with a locally foraged elderflower panna cotta, prepared by us and enjoyed together around the table.

Local Scottish Seafood
Duration: 4 hours
A standout Scottish seafood experience celebrating our coastline. Guests enjoy a crab crostini on arrival before cooking sustainably caught North Berwick lobster with North Sea mussels finishing with a pudding prepared by us. Available from April to November.

As we open exclusively for the travel trade we can welcome guests at any time that suit travel timetables. We suggest organising a class around lunch, tea or supper so that the delicious creations made can be enjoyed by the group.

Welcome. We’ll show guests around the
facility and offer a complimentary tea,
coffee or locally foraged, home-made
elderflower cordial.
10.20am
Get cooking! The kitchen is a relaxed
space, so at any point guests can take a break in the bar or our outside spaces freely.
1.30pm
Relax at the table with the array of delicious
creations made.
This is another opportunity to order drinks from the bar.
2.30pm
Goodbyes.
We will send guests off with happy memories
and a little a something to remember their
experience with.
LOCATIONS & FACILITIES
Located just 12 miles from Edinburgh and a 5 minute walk to Longniddry train station, the Yarrow Cookery School offers easy access on the stunning East Lothian coastline. The school has free parking with electric vehicle charging stations. The school also has a relaxing dining space, and fun bar area for guests to enjoy and is wheelchair accessible. The steading has a range of amenities for guests to meander and enjoy.
