Beer and Bao Buns

Experience the art of bao bun making in our 3-hour cookery class, where you will craft deliciously filled buns from scratch. Led by the Yarrows and their friendly team, this hands-on session will guide you through each step of the process, from preparing the dough to filling and steaming the buns to perfection.

Here is what you can expect from the class:

• Learn to Make Bao Buns: Begin with the basics as you create soft, fluffy bao dough. You will discover the techniques to achieve the ideal consistency and learn the nuances of shaping and steaming.
• Prepare Two Delicious Fillings: Explore classic flavours as you prepare a selection of delicious fillings. Our chef will share expert tips for achieving rich, aromatic fillings that pair perfectly with the soft bao buns.
• Enjoy Two Complimentary Beers: To add to the fun, you will be receive two complimentary beers.
• Fun On-Site Bar: During your cooking experience, feel free to visit our on-site bar, where you can order any drink of your choice. Whether you prefer a      glass of wine, a cocktail, or a refreshing mocktail, our bar offers a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to complement your seafood      journey.
• Interactive and Social Atmosphere: Enjoy a relaxed and engaging environment where you can interact with fellow guests, share stories, and enjoy the cooking process. Our instructors foster a friendly atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to participate and have fun.
• Sit down and enjoy your meal: After preparing your dishes, gather around the dining table as a group to savour the meal you have created. It is a perfect opportunity to relax, chat with fellow participants, ask questions, and fully enjoy the experience in a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
• Location and Facilities: The Yarrow Cookery School is located in a stunning 400-year-old steading, just a short walk from Longniddry train station. The school offers a free car park and EV chargers on-site, making it convenient for attendees. We provide all the equipment, ingredients, and aprons needed      for the class.
